Armorial bookplate (front pastedown) of 'Marius Marefuschus': for Marefoschi's bookplate see Bragaglia, vol. ii, no. 587: circa 1740. Shelfmark in roman numerals 'CCLXIV' in fourth spine compartment. Owned by Frederick North, 5th Earl of Guilford, but lacking his armorial bookplate. '332' in top left corner of front pastedown. Purchased, together with Add. 8401, 8404, 8590, 8654, 8707, and possibly 8588, from R. H. Evans, 8 Dec. 1830, lot 332 (part).
Paper; ff. 301+ii, plus unfoliated leaves after ff. 205, 284. Composite volume. 350 x 230mm. Several Italian hands. Late 17th-cent. Italian binding of full vellum.
