Ownership inscription (upper margin of f. 1) with note of acquisition: 'Di Bartolomeo Antinori comprato in fiera fredda quello di 14 febbraio 1669'. Armorial bookplate of Giuseppe Antonio Sassi, 'Ex Bibliotheca Sassi' (front pastedown): for Sassi's bookplate see Bragaglia, vol. ii, no. 485: circa 1715. Owned by Frederick North, 5th Earl of Guilford, but lacking his armorial bookplate. '88' in pencil in upper part of f. 1. Purchased, together with Add. 8367, 8410, 8411, 8414, 8415, 8426, and 8427, from R. H. Evans, 8 Dec. 1830, lot 88 (part).

'che egli probabilmente nutrisce nel cuore'. With marginal annotations. Another copy of the same account in Add. 8421, art. 2, ff. 55-119v; published in Conclavi, pp. 527-583. Copies of another account of the same conclave in Add. 8416 (art. 24, ff. 324-388v), and 8421 (art. 1, ff. 1-54v); copies of other two different accounts of the same conclave in Add. 8416 (art. 24, ff. 312-323v).
2. ff. 97-147. 'Conclave per la morte di Papa Urbano VIII nel quale fu creato Papa Innocenzio X'; [1644]. Italian. Copy. Inc. 'Molti e diversi sono gli avvertimenti del Conclave', expl. 'che Dio li conceda lunga vita e salute / Finis'. Copies of different accounts of the same conclave in Add. 4350, 8416 (arts. 16, 19, 21), and 19327.
Paper; ff. 147; f. 96 blank. 262 x 180mm. Horizontal catchwords on each leaf. One Italian hand; marginal annotations to art. 1 in the hand of Bartolomeo Antinori. Guilford binding of quarter vellum with decorated paper covers over pasteboards.
