Title (f. 1v) 'Decreta generalia Sacrae Congregationis de Propaganda Fide ex actis originalibus eiusdem Sacrae Congregationis ad utiliorem commoditatem excerpta', followed by the note 'Accedit Index Decretorum per materias in fine libri. Inc. (f. 2) '1. Regulae observandae pro Missionariis / Primo Missionariis indicenda est fidei professio', expl. (f. 92) 'quia est quasi communicatio in Divinis pag. 61. no. 32'. Including 274 decrees (numbered in the margins), with mention (f. 90v) of a brief by Pope Benedict XIV dated 29 March 1751. Alphabetical table of contents (ff. 93-111v), in Italian. Old shelfmark in black ink '220' in lower left corner of front pastedown, and trace of shelfmark in roman numerals in lower spine: identifiable with Marefoschi MS. 220 in Guilford's catalogue Add. 8220, f. 9. Owned by Frederick North, 5th Earl of Guilford, but lacking his armorial bookplate. '200' in pencil in top left corner of front pastedown. Purchased, together with Add. 8479, 8480, 8482, 8483, 8509, and 8661, from R. H. Evans, 8 Dec. 1830, lot 200 (part).
Paper; ff. 112+iii, plus one unfoliated blank after f. 1. Modern foliation '1-111' (followed here), repeating no. 53. Old pagination in ink '1-184' (ff. 2-92), omitting no. 162, and tangled between ff. 20-33v. 277 x 200mm. One Italian hand. Late 18th-cent. Italian binding of full vellum.
