Mostly one epitaph per leaf. Contemporary table of contents (f. 1). Old shelfmark in brown ink 'no. 1682' in upper left corner of front pastedown. Owned by Frederick North, 5th Earl of Guilford, but lacking his armorial bookplate. '598' in pencil in front pastedown. Purchased from R. H. Evans, together with Add. 8489 and 8490-8500, 8 Dec. 1830, lot 598 (part).
Paper; ff. 406+ii. Modern pencil foliation '1-405' (followed here), omitting one leaf after f. 22. 260 x 195mm. One Italian hand. 17th-cent. Italian binding of full vellum, with ff. 280-291 bound upturned.
