The description of the town of Tivoli and its Roman villas written by Pirro Ligorio (circa 1510-1583), architect and garden designer, painter, and antiquarian from Naples. (f. 26) 'testimoni eterni et indelebili della sua grandezza e virtù'. Note (f. 1) 'Di Pirro Ligorio v. L'Advocat nel suo Dizionario'. Old shelfmark in ink '6778' or '6775' on f. ii verso.
