The MS is entitled (f. i) 'Statuti di Sua Eccellenza il Principe Doria per il buono governo de luoghi ad esso sottoposti'. A revised edition of the constitutions was published as Ordini e costituzioni civili e criminali e tariffa di S.E. il signor Principe Gian Andrea III D'Oria Landi per i suoi feudi di Torriglia, Garbagna, Ottone, Carrega, S. Stefano, Loano, Stellanello, e Gremiasco, e loro annessi, nuovamente compilati dagli Statuti e Ordini antichi colle opportune riforme, ed aggiunte (Genova: Niccolò e Paolo Scionico, 1736); B.L. copy 5325.bb.14. Contemporary table of contents (f. 1). Owned by Frederick North, 5th Earl of Guilford, but lacking his armorial bookplate. ‘568’ in pencil in upper right corner of f. i. Purchased, together with Add. 8627 and 8565, from R.H. Evans, 8 Dec. 1830, lot 568 (part).
Paper; ff. 108+vi, plus two unfoliated interleaved blanks after f. 106. Composite volume. 210 x 150mm. Several Italian hands. Guilford binding of quarter vellum with decorated paper covers over pasteboards.
