Simon Gliubavaz: Tract on the history of Dalmatia to 1387 and two letters; 1652, 1653. Italian and Latin. Copies, 18th cent. The tract is copied from an old MS. according to the note on f. 25: 'Avvertimento / Questo discorso di Simon Gliubavaz estratto da antico corroso manuscritto merita di essere esaminato nella parte che contiene'. The two letters are addressed to the historian Giovanni Lucio, author of De regno Dalmatiae et Croatiae libri sex published in Amsterdam in 1666. The MS. is described by C. Owned by Frederick North, 5th Earl of Guilford, but lacking his armorial bookplate. Purchased from R. H. Evans, 8 Dec. 1830, probably as part of lot 355, together with Add. 8603, 8604, 8605, 8607-8608, 8609, and 8623.
