Tract in form of review sent to Giulio Cesare Catelmi relating to one of the political tracts on the Claim over the Kingdom of Cyprus by the House of Savoy, published anonymously by Pietro Monod in 1633 (see 8634, art. 2, ff. 141-251, and 596.h.26). The tract is entitled (f. 2) 'Parere di Gasparo Giannotti scritto al Signor Giulio Cesare Catelmi, Sopra il Ristretto delle Revoluzioni del Reame di Cipri, e ragioni della Serenissima Casa di Savoia sopra di esso: insieme con un breve trattato del titolo regale dovuto A S.A. SERENISSIMA Stampati in Turino senza nome d'Autore / in francofort. mdcxxxiii.' (title repeated in slightly different versions on ff. 1 and 3). Inc. (f. 3) 'Io ho indugiato sino à hora ad ubbidire Vostra Signoria', expl. (f. 113v) 'lasciando al suo purgato giudizio darne diffinitiva sentenza / IL FINE'. The text is divided into five chapters (ff. 3, 31, 56, 64, 99v). Marginal notabilia throughout and an errata corrige note (f. 113v) at the end of text.
