Detailed table of contents (f. 1) by a later hand. Owned by Frederick North, 5th Earl of Guilford, but lacking his armorial bookplate. Purchased from R. H. Evans, 8 Dec. 1830, possibly as part of lot 358, together with Add. 8645, 8649, 8651, 8652, and 8653.

'Relazione Overo Diario fatto da l'Illustrissimo Signor Jacomo Soranzo Ambasciatore per la Serenissima Republica di Venetia per il Ritaglio di Mehemet figliolo d'Amurat Imperatore de Turchi l'Anno 1581', account of the festivities for the circumcision of Mehmet, son of Murad III, with detailed descriptions of the journey from Venice, the feast, the personal features and personalities of the Sultan, his sons, of Gran Visir Sinan Pasha and other Turkish officers; 1582. Inc. 'Usano i Turchi nella Circuncisione de i loro figlioli fare feste'. Another copy of the text in Royal 14.A.XIII, art. 1 (ff. 1-43), dated 1582; Add. 16543 (ff. 74-77v) is a much abridged version of the text. Published in Albèri, s. iii, v. ii, pp. 209-253.
