"COPIA Dacciorum et gabelarum Comunis Argente" [Argenta, province of Ferrara]; made and registered by order of Alberto, Marchese d'Este; Ferrara, 6 Aug. 1391. Prefixed to the statutes is a copy of a Latin letter from the "Factores Generales" of Ferrara to the "Superior gabelarum" at Argenta; Ferrara, 1 Feb. 1476; and at the end of the statutes are added:-
1. Copies of letters of Nicolo Marchese d'Este and others to the officials of Argenta; 23 Apr. 1406-17 Feb. 1439. Lat. and Ital. ff. 70 b, 74.
2. "Liber Capitulorum et ordinationum omnium merchantionum et rerum soluere debentium per transituin per passum terre Argente, 1423." Ital. ff. 73 b, 75. Paper; xvth cent. Formerly belonged to Achille Conte Crispi. Small Quarto.
