MEMORANDUM-BOOK of Sir Francis Bacon, afterwards Urd Verulam. The general title is, "Comentarius solutus sive Pandecta, sive Ancilla Memoriæ. Habet libros duos: 1. Comentarium transportatorum ex comentario vetere. 2. Commentarium novum et currentem." The first division alone is contained in the present volume, of which the special title is, "Lib. i. sive Comentarius transportatorum consistit ex diario et schedulis." It comprises memoranda for his conduct in public and private business, literary notes, etc., selected from his older diaries and here entered on 25-31 July and 6 Aug. 1608. Money accounts of 28 Oct. 1609 are added. Autograph. Printed in Spedding's edition of Bacon's works, vol. xi., 1868. Paper; xviith cent. From the Tenison Library. Small Quarto.
