PAPERS relating to Scotland, and chiefly to the rebellion of 1745; 1731-1746. Among the contents are- 1. "The Scotts patriots or never too late to thrive," with other fragmentary papers of a similar kind; circa 1739, ff. 3-13.
2. Warrants of Prince Charles Edward to "all officers" to enlist "prisoners taken at Gladsmuir," and to Robert Taylor to raise volunteers; Holyrood, 18, 23 Sept. 1745. Signed by J[ohn] Murray [of Broughton, secretary to the Pretender]. The second with seal. ff. 14, 15.
3. Abstract of the proceedings of Patrick Haldane, advocate, and George Miller, town clerk of Perth, deputy sheriffs, touching rebel prisoners at Perth; 10 Feb.-20 Mar. 174.5/6 Signed by Geo. Miller. f.28.
