On f. 12 are the arms of Guillaume, Seigneur de Montmorency, Chamberlain of Charles VIII., Louis XII., and Francis I., who died in 1531.The volume was subsequently given by Louis XIII . to René de Chaumejan, Marquis de Fourille, from whom it descended to Louis de Chaumejan, Marquis de Fourille, whose book-plate and autograph are inserted. In the original velvet covers, formerly embroidered with the arms of Montmorency. Folio. Bequeathed by Sir Joseph Banks.
