BULSTRODE PAPERS: letters, chiefly to Sir Richard Bulstrode, Resident and later Envoy at Brussels; 1675-[1715?]. Partly signed and copies. Mostly French and Spanish. The collection is part of the Bulstrode archive originally owned by T. E. P. Lefroy, noticed in H.M.C. 1st Report (1870), p. 56, and dispersed at Sotheby's on 3-4 May 1889. It supplements other Bulstrode material acquired by the Department from this and other sources, now Add. 38847, ff. 122-139; 47899; 62585; 62586 and Egerton 3678-3684. Purchased from Stride and Son, Chichester, 4 Feb. 1988, lot 325.
