Title:

ITALIAN CANTATAS: twenty-nine Italian cantatas for solo voice (soprano clef) and continuo, copied in one hand; [circa 1750?]. Formerly owned by Maria Ducarel, recorded (f. ii verso) as a gift to her from George Henry Lee, 3rd Earl of Lichfield, in 1768. Part of a hymn tune 'At Even Ere the Sun was set' has been added (f. 77v) in a later [20th-cent.] hand. Purchased at Sotheby's, 22 May 1987, lot 365.

Paper; ff. ii+123. 220 x 285mm. Contemporary full binding of brown leather, tooled. 'Cantata da Camera/Tomo I' on spine.
