The Book of Giovanni Boccacio "de casibus Virorum illustrium;" translated from the French version into English verse, by John Lydgate, monk of Bury. Imperfect at the beginning. It begins with the sixty-third stanza of the eighth chapter of the first book. On the last leaf are some sentences written in Latin and English, with the signature "E. Duddeley" [Edward Sutton, sixth Baron Dudley, K.G., 1482-1530], to whom the volume probably belonged. On the reverse of the same leaf is a list of books, headed "Bibliotheca Joannis Kulpeperi," in a hand of the XVIth cent. Vellum; in double columns; late XVth cent. Large Folio.
