POEMS, by various English writers; tempp. Elizabeth to Charles II., containing: 1. "The Historie of Jonah," in elegiac verse, in five parts. In his prefatory lines, the author speaks of being young; of having been lately constrained to leave New College, Oxford, for conscience' sake; and of having written the poem in the house of a patron in Kent. The tone of the poem is anti-papistical. f. 1.
