A household book for the court of Henry VII (b. 1457, d. 1509), recording the royal receipts and disbursements for the years 1499-1505, partially written by John Heron (b. 1470, d. 1522), Treasurer of the Chamber, sometimes personally signed by the King.
Contents:
ff. 2r-7r: Payments, ‘Paymentes made by John Heron for the kinges grace from the last day of Septembre Anno xvth unto the ffurst day of January the same yere’.
ff. 8r-28vr: Payments, ‘Hic Incipit Duplum Novi Libri Solucionis Domini Regis Henrici Septimi Devolutum per Johannem Heron a primo die Octrobris anno xviijo Regni nostri Regis predicti'.

ff. 163r-163v: A list of persons who are dispossessed of lands after the death of an ancestor who was the tenant-in-chief (inscription on parchment: ‘Liverey of Landes’), 'Herafter foloweth the names of suche persounnes which have had no lyverey of their landes sithen the desceasse of ther auncestres Wherfor the kinges grace ought to be aunswerd of all hole the Revenues from that tyme hiderunto that and over that unto such tyme as they have sued oute ther saide lyverey'.

Foliation: ff. 198 ( + 4 unfoliated modern paper flyleaves and 2 unfoliated 15th-century paper flyleaves at the beginning + 3 unfoliated 15th-century paper flyleaves and 4 unfoliated modern paper flyleaves at the end); 1 unfoliated paper leaf between f. 192 and 193 (f. [192a]); 2 paper stubs between f. 151 and f. 152; the manuscript's quires have been mounted onto paper stubs; parchment labels have been pasted on ff. 32r, 41r, 51r, 150r, 152r, 160r, 163r, 164r, and 193r.
Binding: British Museum binding, the spine inscribed in gold ('HOUSEHOLDBOOK OF HENRY VII 1499-1505'); a portion of the old spine with the inscription 'HENRY VII ACCOUNTS' has been pasted on the inside of the front cover.

Thomas Martin (b. 1697, d. 1771), antiquary and book collector: his name inscribed on a pastedown on the inside of the front cover.
Thomas Astle (b 1735, d 1803), archivist and collector of books and manuscripts: his name inscribed on a pastedown on the inside of the front cover; purchased by Craven Ord.
Craven Ord (b. 1756, d. 1832), antiquary: his bookplate on a pastedown on the inside of the front cover; inscription that he purchased the manuscript from Thomas Astle: ‘I had this vol[ume] of Mr Astle in exchange for a Ms Taxation of Ecclesiastical Property formerly Mr Ectons’ followed by a note ‘This Memorandum is in the handwriting of Craven Ord, Esq.’ (f. 1v); his sale January 1830, lot 1018, inscribed on f. [v] recto; purchased by Henry Belward Ray.
Henry Belward Ray (d. 1856), collector and scholar: inscription that he purchased the manuscript from Craven Ord (f. [v] recto): his bookplate with the inscription ‘Pymme’s Library’ pasted on the inside of the front cover; his sale 26 July 1856, lot 1047 (note on f[v]recto); purchased by the British Museum for £39.
