VITÆ quædam ex Plutarcho: translated into Latin, that of Pompey (f. 45) by Antonio Pacini of Todi; that of Cato Uticensis (f. 167) by Giacopo Lapo Birago of Florence; and the rest by Leonardo Bruni of Arezzo. They are as follows: Mark Antony, with a prohemium addressed to Coluccio Salutato, f. 2; Sertorius, with a prohemium "ad Antonium," probably Antonio Pacini of Todi, f. 90 b; Paulus Æmilius, f. 106; Tiberius and Caius Gracchus, ff. 125, 135 b; Pyrrhus, f. 144 b; Cicero, with a prohemium "ad Nicolaum," f. 202 b; and Demosthenes, f. 228. Vellum; circa 1450; with illuminated initials and miniatures, the subjects being taken from the Lives, and the first words of each Life in gold and colours. The spaces left for the artist are not filled up after the first initial C of the Life of Cato. Folio.
