- "Purchased of Mr. T. Rodd, Jan. 8th, 1842". Thomas Rodd junior (1796-1849) was for many years the official agent for the British Museum Library. From the collection of Col. Sir John Murray, Auditor General and Commissary General of Bengal, served in the Bengal establishment from 1770 to 1797.
