Bromeham Baynton [Bromham], Bremell [Bremhill], Stanley [in Bremhill], and Rowdon and Chippenham al. Rowdon and Fogghamshere [Rowden in Chippenham and Foghamshire near Hillmarton], all in co. Wilts; 5 Apr. 7 Eliz. [1565]-9 James I. [1611-1612]. In Latin. A few leaves are missing at the beginning and end. Appended (f. 311) is a survey of lands in Clynche and Wyke, parcel of the manor of Bromham and Bromham Baynton, taken 25 Oct. 38 Eliz. [1596]; followed (f. 312) by a list of the pannage money for Bremhill manor and Spirtehill [Spirthill in Bremhill] of the same date, and (f. 313) by 18th cent. extracts concerning Clinch tything [in Bromham]. Paper; ff. i. + 315. 1 ft. 5 in. x 11½ in. In fine leather binding, much worn and defaced, having stamps of the Tudor rose, pomegranate, royal arms, triple-towered gateway, portcullis, fleur de lys, and binder's trademark (cf. Add. MS. 32103). In the binding, on the first cover, is a leaf from Gulielmus de Lyndewode's Constitutiones Provinciales, the first edition (Oxford?, 1470?-1480?, folio), sign. Z 5, Lib. iii. De Decimis.
