The majority are from Bolingbroke; the others are from William Legge, Earl of Dartmouth (37272, ff. 159, 161, 162, 184), and William Bromley (37273, ff. 295, 313-348). A number of letters addressed to the bishop singly, especially by See. Bromley, are included. The letters here specified are the only holograph ones of Bolingbroke, but in many others the concluding portion is in his own hand. Several of the letters in 37273 are in duplicate. Two volumes.
