"A GENERALL RULE to teche euery man, that is willynge for to lerne, to serve a lorde or mayster in euery thyng to his plesure": rules for the conduct of steward, marshal, usher, carver and others, chiefly with regard to the lord's hall, including also "a generall rule of all maner of fysshes as pey shall be seruyd in order and course of seruynge." Beg. "The marshall in the mornyng ought to come into pe hall." Colophon "Explicit a good techyng." On the flyleaves are (a) Memoranda about wood carried partly at Talatun [Talaton, co. Devon ?]. f. 1;-(b) A few medical recipes in Engl. and Latin. f. 8 b. A vellum fragment (f. i.) formerly in the binding contains 15th cent. accompts, apparently for repairs at some castle. Paper (except f. i.); ff. i. + 8. Quarto. 8¾ in. x 5½ in. End of xv. cent.
