- Menaion for the months of November and December, imperfect and partly palimpsest, containing services for the month of November (ff 1r-139v) and December, ending imperfectly with 2 December (ff 140r-142v). The palimpsest parts are often, but not exclusively, inserted leaves or patches of smaller size than the body of the book, and they include two leaves (ff 17r-18v) from a 9th-century Gospel lectionary (Gregory-Aland l 1317; Scrivener evst. 238).

Material: Parchment.
Foliation: ff ii + 142. f i is an ownership inscription from the Library of the Earl of Ashburnham; f ii is a description of the MS from the same library, both being pasted onto an unfoliated paper flyleaf at the beginning of the manuscript. One additional unfoliated paper flyleaf at the beginning and two at the end.
Dimensions: 330 x 240 mm.
Ruling: in various sizes.
Binding: Bare oak wooden boards, with a 19th-century leather spine. Traces of previous leather covering on back board and nail holes from clasps or furniture.
Scribe: Ἰωάννης Χορτασμένος (Repertorium 1A, no 191), signing as Ἰγνάτιος Μητροπολίτης Σηλυβρίας. See also Add MS 31919, another Menaion, possibly one volume of a series of Menaia that Ἰγνάτιος had copied.

Diocese of Selymbria: donated by the copyist John Chortasmenus, according to notes on ff 1v and 2r: Μητροπολίτου Σηλυβρίας, Ίγνατίου καὶ ἀφιερώθη τῷ ναῷ τῆς ἁγιωτάτης μητροπόλεως σηλυβρίας σὺν ἑτέροις βιβλίοις οὐκ ὀλίγοις. εἴτις οὖν κλέψει τοῦτο ἤ ἀλλάξει μεθ ἑτέρου (f 1v); βιβλίον δυμηναῖον νοέμβριος καὶ δεκέμβριος γραφέν ὑπ' ἐμοῦ τοῦ ταπεινοῦ μητροπολίτου Σηλυβρίας Ἰγνατίου καὶ ἀφιερωθὲν τῇ ἁγιωτάτῃ μητροπόλει Σηλυβρίᾳς (f 2r).
Lot number (254) from a previous sale on the front board, perhaps the sale at which it was acquired by Aberdeen.
