REGISTER of evidences and documents concerning the family of Stafford, Barons, and Earls of, Stafford, and Dukes of Buckin-- ham, with several pedigrees. Much of the earlier part is taken up with a dispute with the family of Corbet as to the ownership of Hope manor, co. Salop, and other matters. Compiled for Henry Stafford (only son of Edward, Duke of Buckingham, beheaded in 1521), who was restored in blood and declared Baron Stafford in 1547. With notes by him throughout, e.g. ff. 2 (dated 1533), 5 b (dated 1532), 27, 53 b, 122, and others by his son, the 2nd Baron Stafford (cf. ff. 73 b, 74). Although Henry Stafford was not declared Baron Stafford till 1547, he enjoyed the title during the reign of Henry VIII. (v. ff. 6, 8, 104). For an account of a similar Register compiled for him at the same time, see Fourth Report of the
