Leic.]. f. 4 b;-Friston [Monk Friston, W.R., co. York]. Imperfect (cf. 36581). f. 8;-Hillon [Hillam, W.R., co. York]. f. 14;-and Hamelton [Hambleton, W.R., co. York]. f. 18. A.D. 1320-1321. A few later entries (15th cent.) on ff. 24 b, 25 b, relate to Bosworth [Husband's Busworth, co. Leic.]. At the end (f. 26) are copies of two charters, viz. (a) Grant from William I. to Herbert Fortscu of " totum vastum de Inclismore a piscaria de Whitgyft vsque Howserywyk in Dona" [Whitgift, on the R. Ouse, W.R., co. York], and (b) Grant from William ( d. 1154), Archbishop of York, to Hervicus Fortscu, son of Herbert Fortscu, and Robert (le Eyvill, Knts., of free chapels at Redeness and Adlingfleet [W.R., co. York]. On the inside of the old vellum cover (f. 1 b) is a fragment of the " Gloria in Excelsis " set to music for two voices, 14th cent. Vellum; ff. 27. This and the next three MSS. were purchased with Add. Ch. 45798-45961, relating to Selby. 13 in. x 8 in.
