SURVEY and rental of lands of William Langeley, which afterwards descended to the family of Peyton, situated in the hundred of Eastry, co. Kent, and chiefly belonging to the manors of Knowlton and Shrinkling; 1444-1445, 1476-1477. With one or two papers of a later date. Included (f. 33) are proceedings at the court of Tilmanstone manor, 23 Oct.-12 Dec. 1476. At the end (taken from the binding) are: (1) Some leaves (6 in. x 4 in.) of a grammatical treatise, in Latin, 15th cent. f. 40;-(2) a fragment of Beda De Temporibus, 11th cent. f. 62;-(3) Grant from Richard, son and heir of Thomas Whyte, of Woodnesborough, co. Kent, to Robert Holand, of Calais, and Custance his wife, of the reversion of lands, tenements, rents, etc., in Goretuffe in Sandwich, circ. 1395. f. 64;-(4) Fragments of a legal treatise; 15th cent.
