CORRESPONDENCE and papers of Robert Fagan, Consul General in Sicily, relating to the affairs of Sicily during the time that Lord William Cavendish Bentinck was Envoy Extraordinary and Commander of the British forces in that island; 1812-1814. Engl., Fr. and Ital. At ff. 1-59 are thirty-two letters from Maria Carolina, wife of Ferdinand IV., King of Naples, to R. Fagan, 12 Mat.. 1812-15 May, 1813, occasionally signed "Charlotte," a signature often adopted by the Queen (e.g. Eg. MS. 2401, ff. 1, 12, 30, etc.). Copies of Bentinck's letters to the King aud Queen of Naples and others are included, together with political and other memoirs and notes. See the English Historical Review, 1887, p. 482.
