CHARTULARY of the priory of Bilsington, co. Kent, founded in 1253 for Canons Regular of the Order of St. Augustine, by John Maunsel, Provost of' Beverley ; written circ. 1300, with a few additions, 14th-16th centt. At the end (f. 42), on leaves of slightly smaller size, is a survey and rental of the ',dole" in Romney Marsh, chiefly in Bilsington and Newchurch, followed by rentals in Bilsin-ton (f. 59), Newchurch (f. 63), Snave (f. 63 b), Rucking (f. 63 b), Hinxhill (f. 65), Snar-ate (f. 68), Breuset (f. 68 b), Brook]and (f. 69), Lydd (f. 71); written in the latter part of the 15th cent. Vellum; ff. 78. The original cover now forms part of Add. MS. 37021, T. 10 1/4 in. x 6 1/2 in. Presented by Mrs. Helen Hoffmeister, Miss Constance Halliday and Mrs. Lucy Sanders.
