The majority of the papers relate to the estates of Robert, Philip, and Robert Sydney, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Earls of Leicester respectively. For Card, whose succession to the papers, accumulated by Folkes as Attorney-General to Queen Catherine of Braganza (cf. Add.
