McKenna in Iomarbháigh na bhFileadh, Irish Texts Soc., xx, xxi; the present copy contains the poems numbered 2 (the beginning is supplied by another hand on a loose leaf inserted at the end of the volume, now f. 154), 3, 4, 13 + 14 (combined in dialogue), 15 + 17 + 18 (combined), 23 (incomplete) + 24 (combined), 20, 21, 7, 8, in that edition. ff. 111-146 b; (10) Annalistic entries dealing with Irish saints from Ciarán (493 A.D.) to Adamnán followed by some secular entries, 704-1014. ff. 147-147b;-
(11) On loose leaves inserted at the end of the volume: 'Laoi an Deirg', an Ossianic poem beg. 'Daithreosain caithreim an fhir mhóir' cf. references given in Cat., iii, p. 49. ff. 148-153 b.
Paper; ff. 155. 197 mm. x 167 mm. Written in 1819 in a good hand by Séamus 0 Coindealbháin of Rathkeale (Ráithchaithill), co. Limerick (see ff. 20b, 48,70,77, 146b). Thename Diarmuid Ó Mathghamhna in a different hand is found on ff. 22, 48 b. On f. 154 (see art. 9) is the note 'Taken down by Eugene Finneitgey(?) from the recitation of a man living at Knockfierna [Knockfeerina, co. Limerick]', and on f. 154b the signature Eoghan Fionnachta.
