ff. 25-26;-(4) 'Sgiath luithrach (sic) Colum Cille anso sios', a poem, beg. 'Aingil De dam dhion', here attributed to St Colum Cille and said to be used as a charm, cf. Cat., ii, p. 23. ff. 26-28;-(5) 'Forus Feasa ar cath chriona anso sios'. An historical tale preceded by annalistic entries beg. 'Anno Cristi 252. Sebhrus pertinex ocht bliaghna a righ (sic) an domhain a ccomhaimsir re Airt Aoinfhir'. For this version cf. Eg. MS. 106, etc. (Cat., ii, P. 401). Paper; ff. 165- 183 mm. x 145 mm. 1816-1822. Mostly written by Seán Óg Ó Maoilriain (John Ryan) of co. Limerick, whose name, in various forms, occurs passim. Artt. 16-19 are written by Tomas Ó Cramhlaoi of Gort Bridge, co. Limerick (signature on f. 153), whose name also occurs on f. 164b. The MS. consists of two sections bound together, the first ending at f. 92. Single folios are lost after ff. 24 and 27, and two after f. 92. The following quatrains, in a different hand, have been written in blank spaces:-'Tiucfa na Iéithe Iúaith', ff. 24b, 148; 'Ca bhfuil Cesar tréanmhar', f. 91b; 'ni cháinim duine is ní thugaim mo shlán fá aon' followed by an English translation and the name Domhnall (Ó Connaill, ib. ;'Once I had money and friends' and 'is milis gloir gach fir iona mbe', f. 164. The name 'Edmund McCarthy of ardpatrick now of Anhid in the parish of Croom barony of Coshma' occurs on f. 163b.
