COURT-BOOK OF THE MANOR OF TIDESWELL, co. Derby, containing records of proceedings of the Court Baron; 4 Nov. 1670-12 Jan. 1721. The entries are not always in strict chronological order and there are frequent discrepancies between the calendar and regnal years given. At ff. 30, 32 b are two added memoranda by J. Burton, steward of the manor, 1735. At f. 33 is an accompt of Samuel Eccles, steward, of fines received by him on surrenders, 1721. Other papers relating to the manor are among the Wolley manuscripts (Add. MSS. 6666-6718), cf. Index to the Additional Manuscripts ... acquired 1783-1835, pp.. 452-453. Paper; ff. 33. Folio.
