LETTERS OF ELLEN TERRY to G. B. Shaw, together with drawings of Shaw by her daughter and son Edith and Edward Gordon Craig, and a letter to Shaw of Sir Henry Irving; 1892-1922 (mostly 1895-1903). Most of the correspondence is published in Ellen Terry and Bernard Shaw: a Correspondence, ed. Christopher St. John (1931). Shaw's memorandum on his reasons for preserving the letters, at 43800 ff. i-ii, is published in British Museum Quarterly, ix, 1934-1935, pp. 81-83. Five further, unpublished, letters of Terry to Shaw are in 46172, ff. 39-49; Shaw's letters to Terry are in 71068, with rotograph copies in Facs. 496. Shaw's letter to T. J. Wise of 1933 concerning the correspondence is at Ashley A4011, f. 113.
