CORRESPONDENCE AND PAPERS OF GENERAL JOHN CAMPBELL, 4TH EARL OF LOUDOUN, chiefly as Commander-in-Chief of the expeditionary force sent to assist the Portuguese in 1762. Included also (Add. MS. 44068) are some papers (1742-1745) of Lord Loudoun's kinsman Lt.-Gen. Sir James Campbell, who was killed at Fontenoy. For other papers concerning the campaign of 1762-3 see Add.
