The date of composition is indicated by the allusions to "our souerene lord Kynge, Herry the vii Kinge of Englond and off Fraunce and Lord of Irlond" and to his Queen (m. 1486, d. 1503) on f. 47, and must therefore be between 1486 and 1503. Afterwards belonged to Sir Arthur Vicars, Ulster King of Arms (1893- 1908, bookplate, 1896, f. i), and Edward Almack (book-label, f. ii). Again sold at Sotheby's, 26 May 1911, lot 653.
