Henry Crow, his son, was secretary to Henry Somerset, 2nd Duke of Beaufort, and his mother, some of whose papers are included. Various political papers, and newsletters from London, are interspersed. Included also are (a) Opinion by George Jeffreys, [Lord Chief Justice 1683], on the conveyance of the estates of Dame Mary Crow, n.d.
