SONGS and harpsichord solos by composers, chiefly English, of the first half of the 18th century. Those named are William Babell, Corelli,-Gouge, Dr. Maurice Greene, Handel, Martin, and John Randall. The only other composers identified are Dr. Thomas Arne and Johann Adolf Hasse. Among the instrumental pieces, which are most of them dances, is (f. 3 b) "Sir Charles Bingham's Minuet." (He succeeded to the baronetcy in 1752, and was created Earl of Luean in 1776.) Paper; ff. 48. 83/4 in. x 11 in. Not before 1752 (see above). Red morocco tooled binding.
