HISTORICAL COLLECTION to illustrate the times of Henry V, made by Robert Sanderson (d. 1741), Clerk of the Rolls, one of the editors of Rymer's Fædera. It consists of extracts and copies of documents relating chiefly to the French war, the Lollards, etc., taken from the public records in his charge and from Cotton MSS. (some of which have since been lost in the fire of 1731), etc., the references being generally given in the margins. A few earlier and later documents are added. For Sanderson's "History of the Reign of Henry V," in which many of the contents herein are utilized, see Add. MSS. 19979-19984. The contents are: 1. List of the Rolls, Memoranda, and other evidences handed over by William de Burstall, the retiring Keeper of the Rolls, to his successor John de Waltham; 9 Sept. 5 Ric. II [1381]. - Lat.
