Ten (originally, no doubt, twelve) wellexecuted miniatures by French artists, with full borders of foliagescrolls, flowers, fruit, birds, on plain vellum backgrounds; illuminated initials and partial borders throughout. The miniatures are on ff. 59 b (Visitation), 71 b (Nativity), 77 b (Angel and Shepherdsone shepherdess), 82 (Adoration of the Magi), 89 (Flight into Egypt), 96 (Coronation of the Virgin), 102 (David in penitence, death-angel swooping), 121 (Crucifixion), 129 (Pentecost), 182 b (Gethsemane). French binding, late 16th cent., of brown morocco, gilt-tooled, with the arms of Daffis of Toulouse in the centre of each cover. Two small fragments from a 13th cent. MS. on canon law, formerly used in the binding, are now Add. MS. 38651, H. On f. iv, "Ex libris C. J. [erasure] de Haricourt (?) in Sen. Par. patron.
