Eurydice during a voyage to Cape Verd, 16 Dec. 1804 6 Mar. 1805 (ff. 7-25 b), and commonplacc-book (for the most part reversing the volume) of Andrew Pellet Green (Lieutenant on the Eurydice 1803-1805, when he joined the Neptune and was present at Trafalgar, afterwards Capt. Sir A. P. Green, see O'Byrne, Naval Biographical Dictionary, 1849). The chief contents are : 1. Accounts of passages from Jamaica to Spithead, 1803. f. 99 b; Falmouth to Big Island [Bic Island, Gulf of St. Lawrence] in H.M.S. Eurydice, 1804. f. 83; and (following the Eurydice log) Falmouth to the Mediterranean, 1805. f. 28.
2. Extracts from the journal of H.M.S. Neptune at the battle of Trafalgar. f. 61.
3. Political satires: (a) "A new form of worship for 27th July, 1778" [Keppel's action off Brest]. f. ll0b; (b) "The Poll Tax, 1795," in the form of the Athanasian creed. f. 108 ; (c) "Convention between Messrs. Fox and Grey on the one part and Lord Grenville and Mr. Windham on the other," during the Addington ministry, 1801-1804. f. 71; (d) "The humble Petition of Philip, Earl of Chesterfield." f. 68.
4. "Translation of telegraphic correspondence between Danzig and Fairwater" [Fahrwasser] during the siege by the French, 4-26 May, 1807. f. 50.
5. Political and miscellaneous poems, newspaper cuttings, recipes, etc. passim. Paper; ff. 114. Quarto. Early XIX cent. On ff. 2-5 are pencildrawings, partly coloured, of a 'Chasseur,' 'British Hulan,' etc. At f. 5 b is a sketch-plan of the battle of Friedland [14 June, 1807].
