COLLECTION of assignments of copyright between English authors and publishers, 1 Jan. 1703/4 (38728, f. 202)-12 Apr. 1822 (38730, f. 25), formed by William Upcott, Assistant Librarian of the London Institution, and dated by him 26 Nov. 1825 (38728, f . 6). Three volumes. Each volume is preceded by indexes of authors, publishers, and titles, compiled by Upcott (except that in Vol. I there is no index of publishers), and is arranged in a rough alphabetical order. The collection is illustrated by 48 portraits and 3 engravings (the greater number in the first volume) taken from The European Magazine, The Monthly Mirror, etc. The following are the most interesting documents other than assignments in the three volumes.
