12. "Tractatus contra falsitatem Talmuth," beg. "Quis consurget michi . . . Qui malos corrigit," and further on (f. 184) "Incipit tractatulus seu excerpta de tractatulo de pubilicacione heres[i]um siue vanitatum et abusionum contentarum in libro Thalamud." Extracts from a polemic against the Talmud. On f. 190 b are the words "Hec scribit magister Andreas penitentiarus mior [for Magorensis] episcopus sacre theologie professor ordinis sancti Benedicti," i.e. Andreas Didaci de Escobar, O.S.B., who became Bishop of Megara in 1428, quoted in reference to a burning of the Talmud in 1417. f. 183.
13. "De destructione Iherusalem sub Tito et Vespasiano imperatoribus," beg. "Destructio Iherusalem propter passionem Christi" : a much abridged version of the "Tittis Ind Vespasian" legend, recounting the arrival of a messenger in Vespasian's kingdom, the cure of Vespasian from the plague of wasps, the capture of Jerusalem, and the finding of Joseph of Arimathaea, taken from the Legenda Aurea. (Cf. J. A. Herbert, Titus and Verpasian, p. xviii, Roxburghe Club, 1905). Of the Jews after the capture it is said that they "vix valerunt eynen duben dreyck." f. 215.

Vellum fly-leaves (ff. i-iv) from an 11th cent. antiphoner, with parts of the service for Good Friday and the Decollation of St. John Baptist. Original binding of leather over oak boards, a centre quarried panel stamped on the borders with an Agnus Dei and the scroll "lhesus" alternately. On f. 2 table of contents headed "Liber monasterii beate Marie virginis in Lacu," sc. the Benedictine abbey of Laach, dioc. of Trèves.
