ELEVEN SONATAS and nineteen dances for viols by William Young, scored at Stockholm from the Upsala University copy of the work published at Innsbruck in 1653. At the beginning of the volume are some cuttings from the Musical News for 22 June, 1912, giving descriptions of the composer and the present work (a) by Professor C. F. Hennerberg, Court Organist and Musical Librarian to the King of Sweden, under whose supervision the present score was made; (b) by Sir Frederick Bridge, who presented Sonata I; and (c) by Dr. T. Lea Southgate, who presented the photographic facsimiles (ff. iii b-v) of the title-page, dedication of the volume, etc. Paper; ff. v + 81. Quarto. A.D. 1912-1913.
