MISCELLANEOUS letters and papers principally relating to Jacobites ; 1668-1790. Prefixed is a copy of a warrant of Queen Mary for restoration of rents, etc. to Thomas [Howard,] Duke of Norfolk, 3 Dec. 1553, " ex autographo penes P[etrum] l[e Neve] Norroy." A few are connected with the rebellion in 1745 and a large number with the trials of the rebels in 1746. The chief contents are :-
