LIST OF HIS MUNIMENTS BY SIR EDWARD DERING, 1st Bart. (d. 1644), of Surrenden Dering, co. Kent; aft. 1638 (see below). Lists the muniments relating to his estates at Surrenden, Pluckley, etc., charters apparently acquired by him for their historical interest and (see f. 2, col. 2) antiquarian papers connected with the 'Antiquitas Rediviva' project, 1638. See Archaeologia Cantiana, i, 1885, pp. 55-8. The symbols drawn in red at the top of the pages corresponded presumably with those painted on Dering's muniment chests at Surrenden. Presented by C. D. Stephenson, Esq., A.F.C.
Paper; ff. 8. Folio. Watermark on ff. 1-4 of linked quatrefoils within the letters 'I G' within a roundel. See E. Heawood, Watermarks mostly of the 17th and 18th Centuries, 1950, No. 2900 (bef. 1633).
