'O let me die at dawn', lacking the fourth stanza of the printed text and showing other variations. Reprinted in Letters of James Smetham, ed.
S. Smetham and W. Davies, 1891, pp. 341-2. f. 14b;- (2) Beg. 'Vow no more - I did not think'. f. 19. A third poem, beg. 'On thundered Pharaoh gaunt and fierce' (f. 9), printed, with verbal variations, in The Literary Works, pp. 277-8. Figure drawings, mostly of women, in pencil, on ff. 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 11, and, in pen-and-ink, on f. 10, many illustrating literary quotations written on facing pages.
