Autograph vocal score, used for the first run-through of the opera by the tenor, Sir Steuart Wilson, and the pianist, William Denis Browne, at the composer's house in Chelsea, June 1914 (letter at f. 2). The first stage performances of the opera were at the Royal College of Music, 9, 11 July 1924. First publicly performed by the British National Opera Company at His Majesty's Theatre, 14 July 1924.
