The title of the work in Latin on f. 2r: 'Versionis Bibliorum in Linguam Lithuanicam. Tomus VII' and in Lithuanian on f. 3r: 'Biblia tatey ira Rasztas Szwetas I seno ir naujo testamenta. Pirma karta dabar perguldytas Lictuwiszkan Liezuwin. uz mariose. nog Samuelies Baguslawo Chylinska. Materials: Paper.
Dimensions: 200 x 145 mm (written space: 175 x 110/30 mm).
Foliation: ff. i + 225 (f. i is a paper fragment pasted onto f. [iii] +3 unfoliated paper flyleaves at the beginning and at the end). Small pieces of paper are pasted in between folios containing the verses omitted.
Layout: Written in two columns.
Format: Written in two columns, within red lines.
Binding: BM/BL binding in dark blue morocco.

Origin: England, Oxford.
Provenance:
Samuel Chylinski began working on the translation at Oxford on 22 October, 1657 (note on f. 2v). The date 1658 is inscribed on f. 2r and Chylinski claimed to have completed the translation in an account dated 15 November 1659. Only part of the Old Testament was printed in c. 1662 but on f. 219r are notes containing printing expenses.
Acquired by the British Museum from Mr A. Rogers, 9 January, 1926.
