Provenance:
The Benedictine abbey of St Lambert, Liessies, founded in 751: a 12th-century ownership inscription 'Liber Sancti Lamberti' (f. 1v), 'Ecclesie Letiensis' (f. 2r); a 15th-century ownership inscription with a book curse (anathema) dated to 1449: 'Iste liber pertinet ecclesie Sancti Lamberti Lessiencis si quis abstulerit anathema sit. Anno domini 1449 in festo Sancti Iohannis Baptiste', followed by another anathema written by the same hand (f. 95r).
John Payne and Henry Foss (fl. 1825-1850), London booksellers: purchased by the British Museum from them on 16 November 1843: inscribed (f. [ii] recto).
